Implementation status

Kalm targets the 1.1 draft specification. The compiler and runtime are currently 0.1.0-SNAPSHOT development artifacts.

Available now

  • Compiler, CLI, and ordinary Java/JVM interoperability.
  • Explicit nullability, records, contracts, matching, and virtual-thread tasks.
  • Maven and Gradle integration with native Kalm tests.
  • Shared language-server support for VS Code and IntelliJ IDEA.

Before adopting

Public package registries and editor marketplaces are not published yet. Build artifacts locally using Getting started.

Review implementation limitations and the 1.1 specification for the precise contract. The 1.0 specification remains available as history.
